Tutorial 4 - changing the date and time

Setting the date and time of a shot is especially important when sun direction lines are to be used (see tutorial 5 for more information).

To adjust the date and time, click on the When tab in the left sidebar. The default is the current date and time when the page is loaded.

The date of the shot is selected by clicking on the Calendar icon to the right of the current date. A calendar will pop-up, from which the new date can be chosen. On clicking a date the pop-up will disappear and the selected date shown. Note that the displayed sunrise, sunset and solar noon times will change to reflect the new date.

Adjusting the time is accomplished by clicking on the green up and down arrows to the right of the current time. The down arrow to the left of the H will move the clock backwards one hour, clicking on the up arrow to the right of it will advance the clock one hour. Similarly, clicking on the down arrow to the left of the M will move the clock backwards one minute, and clicking the up arrow to the right will advance the clock one minute. The clock will 'wrap round' on the current day, i.e. moving the clock past midnight will not move onto the previous or next day.
